Good thing the coach figured out that the lines that worked so well last year might have a chance of doing the same this year. Go figure!! Who'da thunk?
I'm so over Geoff Ward hockey.
Boys came out well, kept the pressure on, got a bit sloppy at the end, kept steady enough to win. Perfect result. Bring on Yanet and the ATL!

Let’s see what they do next game. Today I have no complaints other than the PK. They didn’t look sharp tonight, which is weird because they finally got a short handed goal.
I also love Mangiapane. What a steal.

I like the win. But I can’t take much from it. I think as long as they try hard and connect their passes they beat Ottawa every game, no matter what the coaching is. But I’m all for keeping the same lines etc, and evaluating against a better team.

Until they find another RW option for Gaudreau and Monahan, I hope the experiment is over.
Tkachuk plays better with Backlund anyway, Bennett plays best at C as well. Just seems to balance out best this way.
