We need fewer points than SEA tonight, in order to get 8th.

A win is auto 9th

Who's the Flames MVP this season?
My candidates:
Sharangovich
Markstrom
Kadri
Coleman

Winner is Markstrom. He carried this team a lot this year.

Seattle plays in Minnie at 5 pm so if Seattle loses beforehand Flames may as well win.

It's gonna be hard to lose to that Sharks lineup. Yeesh.

No bad options there but my personal choice would be MacKenzie Weegar

He was great until theTDL and then after he got hurt his play (and the teams) fell back. By the strict definition he's probably the MVP. But in end to end performace Kadri maybe edged him out.

Coleman has been way off in the last couple months. He's been pretty darn cold. I think Weegar is ahead of Coleman and Sharangovich.

Close one for me between Weegar, Kadri, Coleman, Sharangovich, and Markstrom. Kadri wins it for durability and consistency.

I totally forgot about that guy. Which is not a good look on him.

Thanks Cheese (and the others who do GDTs when you're away)! I always take a look at the GDT thread before I watch a game, and really appreciate the consistent effort to compile the stats/stories throughout the season.

It was awesome to see Coleman have such a good offensive year, and great to see Sharky hit 30+, but my team MVPs are Weegar and Kadri (NOT pronounced the way H. Singh does it).

Cheers all...see you next season!

Weegar is my MVP this season, followed by Kadri and Sharangovich.

I'd even go as far to say Weegar has been our most consistent player since the Huberdeau trade. Got off to a slow start at first iirc but since around the all-star break last season he's really stepped up and hasn't looked back.

I was kind of luke warm on Huby for the last 30-40 games as he does look "better" than his first 120 games as a Flame. But seeing him live recently was near horrific. Dude just does not mesh with anything going on systems wise and seems consistently behind on nearly every play.

12 goals and 50 points and it's only going to get worse from here as he loses ice time to younger, better players and slows down even more (if possible).

Cheese and Bingo for toughing it out during the stretch with the GDT and Game Takes.

I do think these seasons really drag on now.

NHL should open their season October 1st and the regular season should end April 1st. That should be their goal every year IMO.

April 18th is too late for the regular season to end.
