Hot off the press is Patrik Hall's Scout Series from Sweden:

Quote:
While many of the most interesting players coming into the year showed approximately what one could expect or less, Sweden-based Slovak Peter Cehlarik really impressed every time he got a chance to show his skills in the Swedish league with Luleå. Just his second year away from home, the big winger was almost a point-per-game player in the top junior tier in Sweden, and put up six points in eight regular season appearances for the big club.

I really wouldn't be upset of Downing was chosen by the Flames in the 3rd or 4th round.

You can never have to many Sven!

In all seriousness if this guy is still around when the 3rd rounder comes up they should strongly consider him.

Our final Scout Series comes from scouting director Dan Stewart, who not only keeps all our guys in line but looks after some OHL content as well:

Coming into the 2012-13 season I had my eyes fixed on some of the bigger 2013 drafts names and one of them in particular in Sault Ste. Marie defender Darnell Nurse.

Well, the Oilers nabbed Slepyshev in the 7th round. Still don't know why he disappeared though.

Not a great analysis IMO. Barkov was not a reach at all where Florida took him. How Calgary is not on your list of draft winners is completely beyond me. We had three 1st rounders including a top 6 guy but Montreal had a better draft even though you hated their only 1st rounder and therefore their 2nd rounders must be more impressive to you than calgary's three 1sts.

This analysis lacks logic IMO and overemphasizes the importance of your own list.
