I don’t know what it is about Washington but they went from a powerhouse to a team either getting older or slower each year. Maybe it’s just my perception but I don’t see them as much of a threat for a few years now. This decision is low risk but they’re not moving the dial much.

The team complexion totally changed with the losses of guys like Burakovsky and Vrana. And Kuznetsov is not consistent enough.
I’d have been happy with him on the flames at that price
The only player that would make him look good on the Flames would have been Johnny. He needs some one to get him the puck. He's not unlike Monny, a much healthier Monny though.

Agreed - I would have been curious how he would have looked with Eat Bread and Toffoli on his wings.
But yes, his skating and speed concerned me going back to his OHL days.
