I think this video answers why there are more security guards required in Edmonton than Toronto. There are quite a few different points where members of the public need to cross the bubble without entering it and the NHL people need to cross those points without leaving the bubble.

In Toronto, most of the things are at Exhibition Park, so there aren't as many crossover points with public access.

If they have the option to use the plus 15 network to go from the hotels to the rink, why are they inconveniencing the general public with the exterior walkways and complicated gate systems??
I get that is nice to walk outside, but it seems completely unnecessary.

What are the odds, when I think of Edmonton, I automatically think of cornhole. Good to know that they really added that part of the culture into the bubble.

Because the +15 goes through Bell Tower and there's a couple of businesses up there, would be pretty crappy to prevent any customers from getting in. Plus for NHL staff in the Delta they have to walk outside anyways

Has there been any mention of how the NHL will handle delays related to OT? Some games seem to be scheduled with about an hour down time between sessions. What happens if the early game goes into OT or multiple OT periods? That could really mess up a full day of hub city life.

Toronto bubble wifi reportedly very good.
I was at the JW Marriott in early March and the wifi was unusable after 6 PM. You certainly expect a lot more from a high end place like that.

Great question. A triple OT game in the playoffs would really screw with the rest of the games.

I wonder if they would start the later games in the practice rink?

I think they mentioned that some of the Blackhawks were in watching one of the games last week.

They showed Patrick Kane, Malcolm Subban and Alex DeBrincat attending the Avs-Knights -game. Or at least those are the faces I remember seeing.

Maybe I should already know this but I haven't been paying attention. For the Stanley Cup finals when the eastern champion comes from Toronto to Edmonton will that team have to quarantine for 14 days before they can start participating in on ice activities? Basically they would have to take almost 3 weeks off (14 day quarantine plus 3 or 4 days of "training camp" before the finals could begin unless the quarantine requirement won't be necessary.

since they are already in Canada, no quarantine will be needed

The Conference Finals will also be played in Edmonton, so 2 teams will be travelling from Toronto and they'll be playing against each other.
