100,000+ Rangers supporters in Sevilla. They only gave each team 9,400 tickets!

Lots of Frankfurt supporters too!

I think I'm cheering for Entracht because they beat Barca and this would just be a magical run for them.

And its 1-1 through 70'

Ramsey brought on in the 119th for penalties, costs Rangers the trophy with a poor penalty. Maybe stop trying to bring on "penalty specialists"? Only time I can ever remember it working was the Netherlands in the World Cup in 2014.

A Welshman loses it for the Scots.

A tale as old as time.

Sounds like they are giving him everything short of Qatar's oil reserves. Good for him though, sounds like he will make €600 million over the next three years between salary and bonuses.

I’ve stayed off thread - heartbroken. It’s the second Europa/uefa cup final I’ve seen rangers lose. I just thought that Rangers had it. And the save by the Frankfurt keeper at the end of ET was amazing. Disappointed with the Ramsay penalty. I knew it was over when he was saved.

Rangers played extra time on Wednesday, flew home on Thursday, went to a funeral Friday, then played Extra Time again today to beat Hearts 2-0 in the Scottish Cup final.

After the last few results for Rangers and Flames, I’m pleased to get a trophy even if it isn’t the one that Rangers wanted.

Some beer for Rangers players and supporters tonight! WATP!!

Mbappe staying is worth it just for Tebas throwing his toys out of the pram again.

not that I disagree with the sentiment, mind you.

They've gotta get a camera on him right now! Right now!

While theres still steam coming out of his ears.

He'd throw the Press Conference Lectern at someone and tear his shirt apart like Hulk Hogan...

"Mbapppeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I wonder how that feels for Messi now that he's playing for a club where some other player has all of the power.

I'm reading that this was also conditional that Leonardo and Poch are both turfed?

So you're paying Mbappe a fortune and you have to fire your Manager and Director and replace them, presumably with people approved by....a 23 year old?

This seems like an excellent and eminently prudent method to structure your club for future success.

If you believe the rumours they basically have ceded control of the club to Mbappe. Apparently he can choose the coaches, management, what players they should go get, everything runs through him now. That's why I said good for him, he used his leverage to extract pretty much the maximum amount from them. He knew they were desperate, and he made them pay.

it's not surprising that they desperately threw everything they had at him. They crave recognition among Europe's elite more than anything else, and seeing their crown jewel walk to Real for free would have hurt them immensely in that regard. We'll see how ceding power to Mbappe will shake out for them, especially when you have guys like Neymar and Messi on your team as well ... but whatever trouble it causes, they'll take it, given the alternative.

Yeah once they refused the €200 million last summer they were always going to make an insane offer to keep him. All told now, from the initial transfer they paid, his wages, and this new deal, they've got to be over €800 million spent on him, just insanity.

I do think its a little rich that La Liga are butt-hurt about this deal claiming that PSG have to be flouting FFP when coming out of a Pandemic and record losses for La Liga and Real Madrid were still offering €200 million plus insane wages.

Like...where did they think that money was coming from?

Madrid losing out and la liga choosing to throw a tantrum are hilarious in the moment

This really is the most boring choice possible though, another 3 or 4 years where one of the best 5 players in the world plays like 6 games a year that matter
