Pretty sure he was with the Eagles in 2020 before signing with Calgary?
@Eagles:
Eagles have signed OL Julian Good-Jones to a Reserve/Future contract.

That's an odd choice as he has no chance to start. That said he and his agent likely weighed all their options and this was the best one. If he can get the backup job you never know when he's going to get his number called.

First of all, congrats to Nathan, what a great opportunity. Secondly, as things currently stand, does that make Vernon Adams the number one QB in BC? Also, even though the Riders and Cody Fajardo seem to have parted ways, he still might be their best option under centre.

Yeah I was just thinking Jacksonville is an odd choice given they just took Trevor Lawrence first overall last year (had McDavid-like hype coming out of college, for the non-NFL fans in here). But I suppose at this point, Rourke is just trying to break into the NFL in general, and content to be a backup to start.
Love seeing CFL guys make it down south, especially Canadian ones. Hope it works out for him.

I think we can't undersell the coach. He gets the best out of qbs heck he had Wentz look like a MVP.

I think Fajardo makes a lot of sense for BC but I keep thinking Dickenson is going to bring him in to be a good second option is Maier struggles or gets hurt.

Happy for Rourke. Just because Lawrence is the established number 1 doesn’t mean that injuries can’t happen. Hope he gets a good look and plays well.

It's an intriguing idea especially when you consider the fact that you can now have 2 QB on the field for offensive plays. I guess it all depends on the type of money Fajardo is looking for. With Julian Good-Jones signing a NFL contract, there's a hole on the O-line that needs to be filled.

You can get why he would choose Jax. No NFL team is realistically looking at him as a starter. And if your starter is unproven, you are going to want an established backup.
So that limits the pool of teams who would be interested. Seems like a decent setup for him.

Norm!

My guess is he went there because of the coaching and Hank Burris being there. He's going to put himself under the learning tree.
I will say, he's a great talent, and I doubt we see him in Canada again.
He might tap out as a very dependable backup or a middling starter somewhere.

Him playing reps in the CFL for another season isn't going to suddenly turn more heads for a starting job or anything. Just embrace the fact a Canadian is doing well... which I am sure they will have him and Naylor following him all year anyway.

Great to have Judge back for two more seasons, such a key player for the defense.
