Sandler has had a good eye for his serious roles lately. Uncut Gems and Hustle were good. Not so much with the funny stuff lately (Hubie Halloween).

I have the utmost respect for Sandler.

He was once asked and his answer was honest and true.

He takes stupid comedy roles because they're easy as hell and they pay a ton.

'How the movie does' isnt his problem, he just collects the cheque.

If you're honest about it, as he is, I dont have a problem with that. I'm not going to pay to see his films, but at least he was honest about it.

But dont so some raunchy teen-comedy and try and sell it to audiences as 'haute-couture.' That I do not have time for.

And he doesnt do that. So thats fine.

Yep, Sandler is living the life. Does a few dime a dozen comedies, which is just an excuse to take his friends on a paid vacation, makes bank, and then takes the odd serious role that interests him. Him and Daniel Radcliffe have it all figured out

Precisely. And they're honest and up-front about it.

I don't have a problem with that. I'm not going to pay to see it, some people might, but I won't, but at least you've given me an informed choice.

And I respect that.

Adam Sandler has straight-up admitted that he prefers to be some lazy ass hole who just gets paid a fortune for menial work. He's not an 'Artiste!'

Who wouldnt take that deal? I'm fine with that. Just don't sell it as something its not. And he doesn't.

Sandler's initial Netflix movie deal was $250 million. It got extended. Some of those movies seem like they couldn't have taken more then a few weeks to shoot

And Sandler will always have his legacy no matter how many piles of crap he does now.

I’ve never met a person who didn’t like Happy Gilmore. Had a few other good ones around that time too

Like Hemi said...whats the average stay at an All-Inclusive.

Sandler makes a few funny faces, growls a bit and takes his friends, family and entourage on an all-expenses paid all-inclusive tropical holiday on company dime.

Its a pretty sweet gig.

What a guy:

Quote:
On Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday night, Sandler confessed that since starring in 2004's 50 First Dates, he's made a point of doing movies that will take him to faraway places. "[50 First Dates] was written in another place, and then I said, 'Imagine if we did it in Hawaii, how great that movie would be.' And they were like, 'yes, that's a very artistic idea,'" Sandler admitted. "I've been doing it ever since."

And now he's in space. Feels expensive, but good for him.

Looks good! Could maybe use a little Tucker & Dale, but otherwise it looks promising.

The Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, Water Boy, Big Daddy stretch were all pretty great...then really things started to go downhill but still mixed some fun ones in every one in a while.

Don't sleep on Click. Simultaneously one of the funniest and most emotional movies Sandler has ever done

My favorite Sandler movie isn't even a comedy. It's called Reign over me.

2nd favorite Sandler movie? Happy Gilmore
