Pu.

So he can be on a line with Foo.

Nicholas Baptiste of the Sabres would be a great bottom six guy. He's a more physical, less scoring Ferland. Wouldn't cost too much, I would think.

Ya, nobody is claiming him at that salary.

Just curious, not saying the Flames pick him up:

This year no one on Buffalo has been any good, but over the past few seasons how has Moulson been on the power play?

13 power play goals and 25 power play points in 176 gp over the last 3 seasons. Played 352:55 of PP time in that span.

Moulson was a 36 goal scorer on Tavares wing, and a 13 goal scorer 3 seasons later in Buffalo. Tavares is making a lot of wingers very rich.

Put him on a line with Brouwer and Stajan.

In the tradition of players that should be in certain sweaters (Fowler on the Ducks, King on the Kings etc) he should clearly play for the Canadiens.

Yes I know the spelling is off.

I wouldn't trade Brouwer straight across for that deal and that's saying something.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Moulson was willing to expand list and Buffalo was willing to eat some of the salary. Unfortunately, no interest at this time.

Darren Dreger @DarrenDreger
Teams are calling Buffalo, inquiring on Chad Johnson and Robin Lehner. Just checking on availability.

Oilers probably looking at Johnson, because Brossoit sucks.

I would 100% trade Brouwer straight across for Matt Moulson. The salary is nearly identical, while Moulson only has 1 year left as opposed to 2 for Brouwer.

Neither player has earned even half of their contract over the last couple years, but atleast Moulson has proved that he has the potential to be a goal scorer (30+ goal years w/NYI) if he's with skilled players.

Not even Gaudreau & Monahan were able to inflate Brouwer's offense.

Yeah this team would do a Brouwer for Moulson swap in a second. Only $500K extra for, but for a season less.

Both guys are done, so I would definitely trade Brouwer straight across just to get that extra year out the door. Not sure why Buffalo would entertain it, though.
