Sissoko to Watford is apparently close according to Romano.

I've touched on this a few times, but I'll wade in here.

England is hard. I would wager that the EPL is the second toughest League in the World.

Second only to (arguably) the English Championship.

Spain is easy, France is a joke, Holland is tough too, Germany has its moments, Italy is interesting and difficult but England? England is hard.

I dont know anything specifically about Rooney, but English players are only recently branching out into other Leagues.

Its a big reason I'd say that Ronaldo is the GOAT over Messi. Messi has skated by in second-rate leagues, Ronaldo has excelled in England, Spain and Italy.

Will be big freeing up his spot for another cm, aouar and mckennie seem to be rumored most, so that will be a big upgrade at this point

Sissoko ending up being a really useful player for big periods of time since the signing, had some incredible games in the champions league

Hope he does well at watford

Not going to get into all of it, but Ronaldo seems like someone who understands that a career in professional sports is typically short and he has become supremely adept at wringing every nickel out of it.

He has nothing left to prove, now its just about who is going to pay his exorbitant fees until he retires and after this pandemic there is a very short list of clubs who can afford it.
I don’t see him as a Mercenary at all to be honest. He’s seems like a guy who really cares about the history of the sport and his legacy.

Playing for City hurts his legacy at United IMO, and he’s a guy who has always cared about his legacy and how he’s seen.

I actually think he wants to go back to United and wouldn’t be surprised if this whole City thing is a bit of a ploy to put some pressure on them since the fan base would be mad at United too if they let him go to City for only $25M.

Ronaldo has always been a freak. Patrice Evra once told a story about a "relaxing" dinner at Ronaldos place:

Quote:
"I will give advice to anybody -- when Cristiano invites you for lunch, just say no," Evra said. "Not because of the food, but it feels like a training session over there.

"He asked me to come after training, I was really tired, but at the table was just salad and plain white chicken, just water, no juice. We started eating and I thought some big meat was coming after that, but nothing. He just finishes and starts playing with the ball. I've just finished eating but we start playing two-touch, then he wants to go to the pool to swim, afterwards some jacuzzi, sauna.

"Then I say why are we here? Do we have a game tomorrow? That is why I recommend to anybody, when Cristiano asks you for lunch to his house, just say no, don't go. He is a machine, never wants to stop training. Being serious, he deserves everything he has as he has worked so hard."

Rooney, on the other side, was always going to age early/badly. Not only because of his physique and off-the-field stuff, but also because he pretty much became a regular player at 16 and had a ton of mileage at a very young age.

Ronaldo might be the most driven athlete ever. I've always looked the the Messi-Ronaldo debate as the ultimate will versus skill debate. No doubt Messi is more skilled, but Ronaldo's will for greatness has basically made them equals in terms of all-time debates. Might never be another athlete as driven as Ronaldo.

What a disaster of a window for City, to not have a striker for this season is pretty awful planning. Probably gonna make some panic buy now.

Don't know about that, they had no strikers last year and are returning a league winning + CL finalist roster + Jack Grealish. That seems more good than bad.

If I'm Levy, I don't even answer the phone now unless City plan to open with £150M + add-ons.

Yeah they'll be able to keep beating on the Norwich's of the world without a striker, but against the top teams they will struggle. Grealish is great, but he is a luxury signing. Better to have kept the £100 million for Grealish and just bought Kane for the additional amount. Chelsea are clear favorites for the league now.

It’s gonna be a dogfight.

Scouse got their central defenders back.
Chelsea a proper striker
United, + Sancho, Varane, Ronaldo. Still a hole in the middle tho.
City, Grealish.

Yup.

At Juventus:

134 Games
101 Goals
21 Assists

Still elite and I think they will probably manage his playing time more at United than they did over his time at Juve.

Dude...You know all of those Fernandes penalties just evaporated right? Like they're going to let anyone not named 'Ronaldo' take their pens...

Bruno is going to want out. Maybe he'll become a VAR operator.
