I’m sure many of you know about Mike Bezzeg, or know of his importance in the local music scene. He was formerly host of the influential FM Moving Pictures on Shaw Cable in the 1980s. He announced recently his new project – InnerView on YouTube.
Please consider subscribing to his program, and sharing the news.
I know Mike introduced many people my age to a whole new world of music not found on commercial radio. His first interview launches on November 14th, with Russell Broom. On Episode 5, he will have Art Bergmann!
IMPORTANT MESSAGE
To Mike’s many friends and fans,
Today, the Bezzeg family has terrible news to share. Mike was involved in a motor vehicle collision near his home on Monday and sustained traumatic injuries. He is in hospital, in a coma, but is not expected to survive. Just before the accident, Mike delivered food to a friend who had returned from Cuba and needed to self-quarantine — an act of kindness and generosity for which he is loved.
At this time, the Bezzeg family just asks you to keep Mike, his wife Odeet, and his children Aja and Christian in your thoughts and prayers. No visitors are permitted in hospital, due to new COVID-19 guidelines.
We ask you give the family space at this time. We will keep you updated, and look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thom Bezzeg
Mike’s brother
God Bless Mike and his family. Hoping for a miracle.
Going through some of the other stuff in this thread reminded me...
I saw Nash the Slash(rip) perform in the Beacon.
I think, it was lead singer of Golden Calgarians, Bruno, had a place on the top floor of 2 story buildings on 1st st.sw around about 14th ave or 13th, that there used to be bands playing at. That was cool.
Wonder whatever happened to Walt Ohama, is he really a potato farmer?
