Default Crossbones TV Series: NBC

Set during the golden age of piracy in the 1700s and centers on John Malkovich as legendary pirate Blackbeard.

Very well produced and the performances are well done. So far I like it more than Black Flags first episode. The sailors are one dimensional and I hope to see a bit more of them then the constant two main characters, but it has some promise.

The first half of the episode was not too great, but by the end of the episode they had me. Some great writing in this one.

I had to chuckle at their attempts to avoid nudity, but they can go pretty hard on the violence. Nice out of focus shot there, guys.

Isn't there another show just like this? Black sails? Seems like it's more highly rated too.
