The Calgary Flames should fire Darryl Sutter
The offence should have been built around Huberdeau, not having him plugged into a role that doesn’t suit his game. When you hand out the biggest contract in franchise history, you don’t expect that player to change his game. Somehow, someway, Sutter did.
Gilbertson: GM Treliving’s future is first question for Flames
The first decision is … who will be making the decisions for the Flames?
Brad Treliving’s contract is soon up. After nine seasons as general manager at the Saddledome, among the longest-tenured in the league in that role, his future is unclear.
It’s a question that may not be immediately answered. There is, after all, one last game for the 2022-23 Flames to play — Wednesday’s now-meaningless home date with the San Jose Sharks, a potential debut for hotshot forward prospect Matt Coronato — and then some digesting to be done.

Thanks for making these threads this season Cheese. Too bad you weren't able to make playoff GDTs. Hopefully not too long of wait for those to be done again.
Last game of a dreadful season. Looking forward to the kids playing, and the fallout from this season. I have a strong craving for change within the front office.

Welp we all know how this one will play out.
Two worst teams after 60 minutes with a combined 33 losses in OT/SO so most likely headed to a 15 round shootout.

I was gonna skip this game if Coronato didn’t play. But to see that not only he’ll play but Wolf will as well has brought me back in. It really doesn’t take much to please fans. I really hope they inject more youth next year.
