Alex Chiasson is a grenade in the Oilers' lap right now. They need to re-sign him, but he's going to get a good raise. Even if he just gets $2 million - nearly double the largest deal he's ever had - that just eats a million and a half in cap space for a guy who needs McDavid to succeed.

Edmonton's nightmare scenario is that he asks for Jay Beagle/Antoine Roussel money.

Can someone recap what Andersson did/said that has the NoGoods up in arms?

Chia re-signed Koskinen, so I guess he's is happy with his goaltending, but McDavid is on a different page.

LOL.
The Oilers are 22nd in goals for per game.

So with average goals against, they're losing more often than not.

I don't think Flames fans are upset, some are just wondering if it was made up or if Rasmus actually said it.

Oiler fans should be upset, not because it's mean but because it's true.

Chia is like if there were a Flames plant managing the team - sabotaging it over a multi year period. Doing it in such a way that no single move is so egregious to their dumb franchise that it is enough to get fired, but cumulatively irreparably harms then for a decade or more.

Are we sure Chia is not secretly from Calgary and assumed the identity of some dead person? Did a doppelgänger murderer Chia and take over himself as GM?

David Cross aka Tobias Funke has been out of the spotlight a while...hmmm.

Could tell ever since that '5 games in the show' comment to Boeser.

He does homework for his chirps. Him and Chuck are next-level.

Assuming he said it, in the context and situation as presented by a notorious purveyor of fabrication for dramatic effect, in Stauffer.

The thing is that by creating this drama today, the Oilers have virtually guaranteed that "Oiler Drama" will dominate the headlines when the players have their break

So the oilers are pissed that they suck because they lost to a team now 20 points better. The mental gymnastics the media and fans do is pretty comical.

With all the Kosco drama the waiving of Spooner, also delicious, isn't getting enough air play. Eberle for Strome then flipped for Spooner then turned into... less than nothing.

So how did the Bruin's 2011 cup team--still a good team that may well finish ahead of the Dynasty Leafs this year--get built? Chia's clearly too brain dead, and with Benning's free agent brilliance in Canuckland we know it wasn't him. Nealy? A hockey savant zamboni driver?

I can't wait to see the next glimmer of hope in Edmonton. It'll be something along the lines of "Boston rebounded post-Chia, we will too."

Then they'll realize he's not going anywhere.

I honestly think the Lowe regime still pulls the strings in that office. I’d be surprised if Lowe and MacTavish didn’t slowly start taking back power after Chai’s first season.

It doesn’t make sense that three new GM’s have walked through that door since Kevin’s “firing” and almost all the moves look and feel exactly the same. I can’t understand how Chai can go from an undisputed brilliant executive with the Bruins to....this.

There has to be more to this story then we’re seeing.
