Guys, if you have a 4-1 lead and "the refs cost you the game" its your own fault.

Get a grip.

Joke.
If they did all this how would they cheat?

We had plenty of PP opps blame this one on Elliot not the refs.

Pull Elliott in a tie game vs Gibson down 4-1...does not compute.

Gulutzan needs to have the team and himself ride the train down to Anaheim tomorrow and have a few beers again.

Gulutzan is not a good coach. Yeah, yeah, the team went on a great run after digging themselves a big hole to the start the season, but he clearly wasn't doing a good enough job during the bad start, and since the run ended, the Flames play has been mediocre. And now his biggest weakness is showing in this series, he's not a strong leader since this team's mental fortitude is cheap as a penny. When something goes wrong or doesn't work in their favour, they ALWAYS let the other team take complete control and end up winning the game.

#### happens. Good teams know how to handle adversity and stay resilient, and pull off tough wins. This team isn't capable of that yet - at least on a consistent basis - and the coach takes the blame there since his job is to ensure that they do.

I can't even look at Gulutzan right now without getting extremely angry.

Bad goals go in all the time, the Flames were still up a goal late in the 3rd after that. It's nobody's fault but their own that they allowed that goal to deflate them so badly

Could someone who's played goalie please explain each bad goal by Elliot? I've never played competitive hockey and am genuinely curious.

I feel for the guy, I honestly do. Great person, nice guy, but just not the guy for this team.

this is easy to say, but no other team has to put up with the amount of "adversity" as you call it. It's an emotional game with a bunch of 20 yr old kids. Expecting them all to have ice in the veins and steadfastly unswayed by a clearly illegitimate system is asking a bit much in my opinion.

To me this is what you get when a group of really young men realize the level of "adversity" they are faced with. I think it is tough not to empathize with them, not all of us can be Captain Sully's.

You don't feel you played well? You didn't played well. You should have said "i played like #### and cost my team the series"
