It is still a definitively better tandem than the Flames back up options of Cassie Campbell and whoever the back up play by play individual is. So for that we are lucky.

Shorthouse is actually a pretty good play by play guy, it's more that Garrett is an unabashed homer. You're probably going to hear a whole lot about the Canucks prospects and nothing about the Flames'.
