Watch it be two mediocre players. They never give up anything of REAL value in a trade.
Except for Kiprusoff. We ####ed them in the ass on that one.

They still have a very old core of forwards, they should compete for the cup for a couple of years though. It'll be interesting to see who they gave up.

It's not concerning at all. I'm willing to bet neither the Leafs or the Sharks win the cup this season so the Flames still have a lot to play for and nobody should be conceding divisions to these teams. His addition is going to come at a steep cost in regards to lineup flexibility as well as assets. It's not like they are a young team or anything as most of their top players are probably on the downside of their prime. Also these dream team additions don't always turn out as well as expected.
IMO he is another leg or foot injury away from being a crippling cap hit for whatever team ever traded for him so I'm a lot happier he's going to the Sharks than the Flames. I would be more worried if they got a Pronger type player that was skilled, punishing, and a warrior. He's a skilled one way player that can be exploited in his own end.

Expecting it to be some 'who?' type roster players and a handful of B prospects with next year's first.

Probably a bad return for Ottawa.
Damn, our division got tougher.

Braun will probably be included too.
My guess is Braun, Meier, Donskoi, Merkley for Karlsson.

We arent' scared of Karlsson. Bring it on!
Besides it's the Sharks. They flame out in the playoffs. Way worse if it was the Ducks or Kings.

Safe bet is a couple 2nd tier players that are on cheap contracts, plus picks.

This sucks. Do not want him in our division. I guess it will make games against the Sharks more entertaining to watch.

I blame Dallas for picking today to sign Seguin, you should have been working the phones on this trade.

The initial reports say only 2 roster players. I wouldn't be surprised if Braun is one of them. I guess initial reports can be wrong, but I'd guessing Braun and one of Hertl, Meier or Donskoi.

News Update
Elliotte Friedman @FriedgeHNIC
now
Return for Karlsson involves prospects and picks, also F Tierney and D DeMelo.
DeMelo was just an UFA after not recieving a QO and then re-signed with SJ.
