I wonder if cat food makes a skunk gassy....

There's a chance for a profit here by setting up sings in your neighbourhood indication that you have a zoo. Charge $5 to look aat the animals and wander around the enchanted house. Sell novelties and whatnot
|
Better yet, lure your enemies there with the promise of a zoo.... Then bam skunk in the face.

Spent most the day improving the skunk ramp. Cut some plywood up and attached some carpet to it. Skunk ramp 2.0 has much less angle and almost no room for him to get around the ramp. Unfortunately I can't lower the angle much due to the dept of the window egress itself, 4.5' down.
Side angle. Thing is still sleeping or either dehydrated/dead, I've lowered the space he has to roam around in so hopefully he moves out today.

I have a trap from the city until Sept 8 that you could borrow I'd you would like. PM me.
Funnily enough, trapped a skunk in it already (twice. )Instead of neighborhood feral cats.
There was a lot of googling the first morning. Blanket did the trick. Obvs yours is a bit more sketchy but figured I'd offer.

Oh man, I really want that skunk to make it. 3 days is a long time, but enough to die from dehydration? Can you put a bit of water down there, at least?

That window well is pretty deep. Maybe it injured itself when it fell in. The incline is pretty steep so what about nailing some 2x4s on it horizontally so it can make it up slowly.

I told my Dad about it - he was quite the avid trapper. He wanted to go get this skunk in a live trap - he has dementia though, and really can't do this anymore, but he was sure excited about it.

Dang...that's some well made skunk ramp!
Wonder if you could sell it?
Maybe $5.00 for the Skunk Ramp?
$10.00 if the skunk uses it to get free!
Could be a side business here. Looks like Skunkramp.com is available...
-----Edit-------
Also, I noticed Skunk Ramp 2.0 doesn't have any markings on it. What if the trapped skunk just needs some arrows to help guide its escape?

Skunk Ramp 2.0 is magnificent.
Part of me hopes he uses it to get out and bring his family back in with it.

That's way to close to a typo for Skankramp.com, which I'm not sure is available, and have no plans to check.

I'm actually dealing with the exact same thing right now! This happened to me last year, but the skunk never burrowed so AIWC just fished it out with a net. This time, the skunk burrowed. AIWC set a trap there, but no luck so far I don't think. I think I'm about 5 days in.
I may have to call a professional at some point as well.

So this is a bit odd but stick with me. I do some work with Cowperson, and he'd like you all to know:
Quote:
You should tell those guys in the skunk thread at Calgarypuck that you bait a skunk trap with sardines. Strange but true. Sardines are cat nip to skunks.
I hadn't looked at Calgarypuck in at least two years until I did a flyby on the weekend and what do I see, my favourite topic, trapping skunks.

Throw your new dog into the window well and have it negotiate with the skunk to leave!! That dog needs to start earning its keep!
