Steven Diez had a good week at the ATP Challenger event in the Canary Islands as he made it all the way to the final before dropping a hard fought match to Enzo Couacaud of France 7-6 7-6. There is another tourney this upcoming week in the same location, here's hoping Steven can win one more match this week.

Congrats to Juan Manual on his first ATP tour win. The kid has pretty incredible ground strokes, but he needs to develop a first serve. He was rolling that first serve in around 130-140 km/hour which is not going to get it done long term.

It was a day of maiden titles on the ATP tour as Alexei Popyrin won the ATP event in Singapore.

Felix was up love-30 leading 6-5 (Nishikori serving) and then proceeds to drop 7 straight points. He rallied in the tie-breaker to even things up at 4-4 and then loses three straight points to drop the opening set. He still has a big problem with closing out sets/matches.

Felix took a MTO after Nishikori held serve to start set 2, gets broken at love, and is now serving at love-30. In other words, he's in deep doo-doo.

Well, that was pretty much a tank job by Felix in the 2nd set. He might have injured his thigh or hamstring as it was getting worked over during the MTO. Kei moves on winning the match 7-6 6-1

yeah and if successful, he would be the first #2 outside of the Big Four since 2005!

The other bad thing about the loss today is that Felix made the Rotterdam final last year and ranking points are no longer protected thus this will be a significant drop for FAA as far as his ranking is concerned.

Nice comeback by Andy Murray, after dropping the opening set 6-2, he battled hard and won a second set tie-breaker (7-2 was the tie-breaker score). Was down love-3 in the third set and then rattles off six straight games to win the match 2-6 7-6 6-3

Today Djokovic tied Federer for most weeks at world #1. I have to be honest I thought Federer would have that record forever. Could Djokovic get to 350 or 400?

Felix is playing doubles today with Hubert Hurkacz so obviously the hip or thigh issue he experienced during yesterday's match was minor.

Genie was down 5-1 in the opening set and fought back to force a tie-breaker and actually had a set point in the first set, alas she couldn't seal the deal.

Well, the young Argentine kid Juan Manuel Cerundolo couldn't replicate his run this week as he loses to fellow Argentine Federico Delbonis in the 1st round of the Argentine Open.

Rafa will remain at #2 for a little while longer as Lajovic dispatches Medvedev in straight sets 7-6 6-4 in Rotterdam.
