I don't feel he's always in the hunt. Just catching up to the kill. He's the master of top 5 finishes following a brutal first round and three very good following rounds. He needs to sort out his first round issues.

Since 2015 the Northern Irishman is a combined 28 over par in the first round of majors and 61 under in rounds two, three and four.

That puts #12 into a whole different perspective for me, I've never seen that before.

#12 at Augusta is truely a timeless hole. An old codger like me who still thinks golf is a game of touch and feel really loves this hole. You need to know the wind, how far you hit your clubs and where you can afford to miss...than execute. Else, you'll pay for it. Sure you can punch all this into a spreadsheet and probably get your exact number...but you still need to execute that shot just right.

Agreed, not a fan of the 240 yard par 3's, this one is a classic. Doesnt have to be long to be difficult.

US Women's Open starts tomorrow. I recall when this tournament was a big deal.
It might get some attention in this thread if Brooke is in the hunt otherwise will anyone pay attention?
There is a $5.5 million purse so someone must watch this.

Tiger's cub sure is looking like a good golfer in this PNC event. I wonder how he'll turn out. He's got a lot of attention on him for an 11 yo.

One of the more enjoyable tournaments to watch imo. Pretty sure this is the first time it hasnt been limited to Golf Channel, which Im sure is because Tiger and Jr are in. Sucks they haven’t shown John Daly jr yet, who is always awesome to watch. Have to think he has a future on the PGA.

I wonder what Charlie Woods' handicap would be?

It seems he regularly shoots under par from the up tees, so has to be around scratch, I'd think.

Little John was fun to watch (when they weren't gushing about Charlie).

Exciting finish at the tournament of champions. English and Niemann in a playoff now. Really unfortunate that Thomas said *aggot on air after missing that putt yesterday. He's saying the right things now, though and hopefully he'll just learn from it and grow as a person.

The chance for eagle makes for such a great finish. The exclusivity is a nice touch, too.

Brazil's federal police arrested Argentine golfer Angel Cabrera on Thursday for extradition to his homeland to face charges for several crimes allegedly committed from 2016 to last year, two officers said.
Cabrera, a past winner of both the Masters and the U.S. Open, was on Interpol's red code list. Police said in a statement that the arrest was made in an upper-class area of Rio de Janeiro, without announcing the suspect's name. It described him only as a 51-year-old Argentine.
The police statement said the arrest was authorized by Brazil's top court and the man would be held until his extradition to Argentina. Officials in Argentina have charged the suspect with assault, theft, illegal intimidation and repeated disrespect to authorities, the statement said.
