You should predict an Oilers win.

I think the player I hate the least is scrub joureyman Mattias Janmark.

Only Skinner. Great stache
But him winning wouldn’t be worth seeing dirtbags like Kane, Draisaitl, and Perry rewarded for their D-baggery

I know the Oilers obviously deserve credit. But, it is just crazy to me how bad Florida has looked for the majority of the last 3 games.
The Oilers players are playing like this is a do or die game, and Florida is playing like it is game 1 of the preseason. Just mind boggling.

Does Florida have some crippling injuries to their stars? I’d bet on it. But Edmonton has a historically good PP, PK, quite possibly the best performance by a forward in nhl playoff history (mcdavid) and one of the best performances by a defencemen in nhl playoff history (Bouchard). Skinner has also proven he’s a premier nhl starter.
I don’t see any scenario where Florida can regroup and regain momentum to overcome the oilers onslaught. Their stars are firing on all cylinders, their depth players are scoring key goals and they’re playing with more confidence than I’ve ever seen. And admittedly with a fairly weak roster outside the top 3 or 4 players. Knoblauch is the best move the Oilers organization has made in a decade. In hindsight, their slow start, which got blobfish fired, was the catalyst that resulted in a historic cup win.
This will go down as inarguably the greatest comeback in nhl history and one of the greatest, if not the greatest, comebacks in the history of sports.

Which is how the Canucks looked in game 6 and 7.
And how the Stars looked in game 4, 5, 6
And now how the Panthers have looked in game 4, 5 ,6
Oilers are 4-8 in games 1-3 of a series and 11-1 in games 4-7.
At some point it's not the other teams looking bad, and it's that the Oilers coaching staff is doing great job adjusting and neutralizing these teams as the series goes on. And add the best PP and PK in the playoffs on top of that.
Maurice better make some adjustments to what the Oilers have done if he wants to win in game 7.

They do deserve credit, especially for the PK.
I still see glimpses where the Panthers look like they normally do. But it seems as soon as the Oilers score first, the entire team panics and stops playing how they usually play.
I honestly think the players need a sports psychologist more than a better game plan. Most of the players on the team are completely folding under the pressure of trying to win the cup.

Skinner is 10-0 in games 4-7 during this run.
I have no idea how that happens he is a middle of the pack goalie and for whatever reason teams have no answer.

I agree. If you have to ultra zoom in or ultra slow mo to see the mm offside then just let the goal stand. Did a mm offside truly cause an advantage leading to the goal?

At the beginning of the series I was thinking, nothing would be worse as a Flames fan than the Oilers winning against the Panthers in a 4 game sweep. The hockey gods were like, hold my beer.

They looked really good at the start of game 5. It seemed like it was just a matter of time before they scored. Then they lost all that momentum when Montour made that stupid mistake and they looked lifeless after that.

I think that's been an ongoing theme for many teams this playoffs. There are games where one team looks dominant, but it's moreso because the other team flips a switch and plays terrible. Boston was like that, New York was like that, and Dallas and Colorado had their games like that as well. Some teams just beat themselves in stretches here and there, and for whatever reason Florida is doing it here. I haven't seen a playoffs like this one this year where on paper and leading into certain series' there should've been hard play throughout. Instead we seen some very lopsided play where one team didn't show up. Just a weird playoffs all around for this stuff.

Paul Maurice has no answers to what the Oilers are doing to his team.

They already thought they were contenders before they were bad enough to win the McDavid lottery
it wasn't a plan

Tkachuk will go down as one of the biggest chokers in sports history, if Edmonton wins.
Especially because he guaranteed a win in game 5, and has done crap all to back it up. He looks worse than he did for us in the playoffs.

Haha. Panthers are done.
Same thing happened last year.
Good team rode a White hot goalie to the finals and when Bob lost his MOJO they were easy pickings.
He lasted three games of the finals this year and then the coilers broke him. Bob is toast and so are the Panthers.
The only solace I can take in this complete and utter disaster is Matthew "wahhh I don't wanna stay in CGY" Tkachoke losing the cup for the 2nd year in a row and this time in historical heartbreaking fashion.

Oilers plan?
Haha omfg gimme a break
What a plan.
Start rebuilding in 2010
Win the McDavid lottery against all odds 5 years later
And voila, just like that, NINE years later game 7 of the finals!

If the Oilers win the cup, the people I'll be the most happy for is Ben Stelter's family
