Imagine after blowing the team up in the summer he blows it up further in season? Exciting but I can’t see it.

Yeah, it's as I thought. Trees looking ahead. Not trading for right now but more aimed towards what's gonna work in the next 3 to 4 years.
I bet he pulls some rabbits out of the hat.

Yesterday I think was a good snapshot of what this group can be without getting bogged down by the atmosphere Sutter has established in the room, whether intentionally or unintentionally
I think no one was having fun here since about late October, and they just took it into their own hands to push back on the coach

I would be awfully surprised if Sutter were let go. Relieved, but surprised. We all still figure there is team news tomorrow?

A mid-season coaching change would be interesting. Would they give Muller and Huska the reins? Call up Love from the AHL? Bruce, there it is?
They always say the Jack Adams is a curse.
If he did it, I'd say it would put to rest any ideas that Tre is planning on jumping ship in the summer. It could still cost him his job if they crashed and burned, but it wouldn't be a move from a guy who's already thinking ahead to his next job.

I just don't see Sutter getting let go. That would probably be the single most surprising Flames move in their history.
Treliving would also then have the hilarious history of having two separate head coaches win Jack Adams, extending them, and then firing them in quick order.

I think it’s unlikely
But I keep going back to the fact that they’ve made a massive commitment to Huberdeau
They gotta make it work. And if they believe he can’t succeed under Sutter then…

It would certainly be a wild decision, and I agree with you on the whole Huby/Sutter thing.
If it happens you'd have to think Quennville is right around the corner...

I have a feeling that if a coaching change happened, it would be a promotion from within just like when Peters was let go. I can't see them going for a A-lister while still paying Sutter over the next couple of year.
Muller seems like a likely candidate seeing as he has NHL head coaching experience. Mitch Love would be a possibility as his stock seems to be rising. I wouldn't be surprised to see him poached by another teams for at least an assistant role in the near future.
It's too bad that teams couldn't send down and call up coaches like they do players.

If the team sinks back into the same problems I could see it happen
If tree is unhappy he won't take it sitting down, probably acts on it in some way by the TDL, whether it's coaching or personnel
But of course if they build off of that win and take a step as a group, Sutter will remain until the end of the year

Tree could always do what Billy Beane did in moneyball
Tree: "play the guys I want you to play"
Sutter: "no, it's my roster I'll play whoever I want"
Tree: " well you can't, Lucic, Lewis, Ritchie and Stoner have all be traded. Play my guys"

I think Sutter intentionally creates a very difficult atmosphere with the goal of the team showing meddle and rising above it. He's done it lots and it typically works. If you want to fire him for it, this is the wrong time as it's probably going to work again.

I would be shocked if Sutter was let go. How could BT survive another coaching change?

Flames just signed Sutter to an extension. Really can't see that happening.

Barry Trotz would be a great coach for the team and he's getting ready to get back into the game.

Sutter is Edwards guy. Little chance he lets Treliving fire him especially given Treliving's contract status. That said I would not be shocked if Treliving isn't happy with how Darryl has handled things this season. I certainly wouldn't be happy if I was the GM. I don't think this locker room is embracing Sutter's antics.

All I hear is how well liked Boudreau is. Could Tre add BB to the mix somehow to lighten up the dressing room?

Why has everyone turned on Sutter? Did the flames not have an amazing regular season last year? A couple players had record years. The goaltender has sucked, the players are under preforming. Eat bread hasn't been good. Huberdeau is basically a good second, third line winger at this point. And we lost two good players.. Maybe this ain't on the coach, maybe it's the GM who makes big moves without accountability, or having a proper place to put them
Before you start acting like the gate keepers, maybe think about it. Who really thought toffoli was gonna be a good first line forward? This team is under performing. Sure, maybe Sutter has run his course, but this isn't even the same team as last year, they've only played 50 games with the guy.

Or the coach is coaching like he has his entire career with players not producing like they have and the prior season was a anomaly. He rode 1 line.

I would easily give up Sutter for Trotz. What a coup that would be.
