Is this like an 'Infinity War' scenario? Must we collect all of the Stones en route to winning it all?

Don't know why this would be a depth signing as the game has clearly passed him by for a few years now.
Only explanation I'll be at peace with is that he has naked pictures of Trelivings wife.

I always remember something Rhett said on the morning show a year or two ago where he was talking about the value of practicing with NHL players versus playing in the AHL.
If I recall correctly, he said he thought there was more value practicing with NHL players versus playing in the AHL. This Stone deal points to Mackey getting sent down to the AHL for "seasoning". I see both arguments but I am curious how other people value these two options.

I think every situation is different but Mackey needs to play and learn the pro game. Including because the college schedule is so much lighter.
It's a key development year - needs to play and play a lot.

To play goal? It'd be a decent upgrade.

I have zero feelings about this. Flames love Stone, Stone likes Flames.

Seems like he will just replace Mackey on the taxi squad so he can go down to the AHL and play big mins of pro hockey.

If you're the oilers you claim every waiver player possible. Results in either an improvement to your team if they begrudgingly play for you, or you force the retirement of all your opponent's depth.
