Mangipane leads the Flames with 60 points in the regular season.

Gaudreau finishes top 3 in points overall.
Monahan scores 30 goals.
Bennett scores 20 goals (while having 4 goals called back), 40pts as a centre, +10 or, and 120PIM.
Backlund gets 2nd most Selke votes.
Markstrom finishes top 3 in SV%.
Calgary wins the cup.
Oilers fail to make the playoffs, and then get leap-frogged 3x in the draft lottery.
Lucic scores 12 goals, 28 pts 5 of which are game winners, including one shoot-out winner (there will be one hell of a long shootout this season)
Robinson scores 10 goals on the 4th line this year.
Giordano wins the Norris.

How dumb do you have to be to think the team that didn't make the playoffs finished ahead of the team that did make the playoffs? Haha, you would have to be oiler fan dumb.

I’ll go by draft rankings and who played in the first round of the playoffs... seems like a more tangible result. But I understand you may not realize that beyond the regular season there is more to do than look longingly at the NHL.com standings.

Oilers miss the draft when they bung up their Zoom connection. They tune in instead to a regional sales managers meeting in Bolivia.

I predict Markstrom has a mediocre year at best, and becomes the new whipping boy.
Dube establishes himself as a true top-6 player. 20 goals.

The NORTH Division becomes permanent, as well as a 20team playoff format that includes 5 teams from each division, a 4-5play-in best of 3, and straight divisional playoffs until a final four receding.

Monahan is the main reason Leivo signed in Calgary, they're good buddies. I'd love be to see them play together

My bold prediction: Markstrom wins the Vezina, Markstrom/Rittich win the Jennings. Kraken take Rittich in the expansion and sign him as a FA just like Vegas with Engelland

My not bold prediction: stang is wrong, Oilers bad

The Oilers don't have a defence or goaltending. It's a pipe dream to think the Oilers have a chance of finishing ahead of the Flames.

Arizona announces a permanent move to Portland to play out of the Moda Arena, for the 21/22 season.

This will really mess up divisional alignment! If not a permanent North division, Calgary and Edmonton both might end up central.

Lol, what a sad claim.

It is arguable that the oilers finished ahead based on some technicality although the league Itself disagrees. We are the only non playoff team ever to finish ahead of a playoff team!

Congratulations, you are the Rudy Guliani of Oilers fans. Watch your hair dye.

Couldn’t Vegas just move to the Central?

1. Due to covid outbreaks, three teams leading scorers end up being from the taxi squads.
2. McDavid and Draisatl collide at mid ice trying to avoid back checking and knock each other out for the season.
3. Patrick Laine gets confused again and sets NHL record scoring on his own goal 3 times.
4. Simmons, Spezza and Thornton are TOs best line after Rielly breaks Mathews and Marners ankles with errent slap shots....in practice.
5. Elias Pettersen gets in his first fight...and wins...against Puljujarvi.
6. The Matt Tkachuk friendship tour continues causing Zack Kassian 3 more suspensions.
7. Ottawa sweeps their series with Montreal and still finishes dead last.

Interesting observation. Trump logic at work, declare a win before all the results are in?

Flames and Oilers were one win apart in the standings when the season was cancelled. Oilers had 11 and Flames had 12 games remaining. Hard to declare a winner.

And then there was the play in, which was the actual conclusion of the interrupted season. Flames went 3-1 and the Oilers went 1-3.

And then there is this https://www.nhl.com/stanley-cup-playoffs/2020
