Agreed, our first three will act like exhibition games then the coaches get some time to tune things up.

The longest the Jets and Sens go without a game is 4 days, but they also have more 3 day breaks than the other teams.

The schedule might change . I read the provinces want teams playing each other at least 3 games in a row to minimize travel.

Calgary Flames will most assuredly dominate this Dominion Division en route to championship glory.

Also the crazy schedule this year makes me glad the flames aren't learning a new coaches system. Continuity is gonna be key this season.
This might be true, but it seems like the Flames often play poorly after breaks (and this goes way back).
They often play poorly in the beginning in the season as well (they've lost many season openers in a row).

Perhaps it's good for the Flames to get these things out of the way early so they play well when it matters.

I'm once again cautiously optimistic for the Flames this season. If they split the difference between 2nd place after Tampa vs. whatever last year was and then add in Markstrom I could see this team being very competitive this year.

Never mind the NBA's Larry, the NHL was first with the (Ambrose) O'Brien Trophy!
