Watching the video, I got the sense that everyone involved was kind of awful.
I think the police were decidedly less awful in this situation, though.
Edit: and honestly, watching the video again... he really resisted them hard and started to skate away. It's hard to tell what the police should do in that sort of situation. But I know 100% that's not what Wiesblatt should do in the situation.

I had not heard of this family until this year’s virtual entry draft. The video of the family watching and reacting to one of the boys being drafted was lovely. The storey of their single mom raising hockey boys received national media attention.
