Whichever scout is focusing in this area better be right, this is two in his ledger.
IIRC the scout in that region (USHS/USHL/NCAA) is Jim Cummins, who also discovered Gaudreau and Fox.

Wonder what they see in this kid. Nothing jumps out at me that says top half of the draft.

Yeah id be curious to see what the management says about him. Nothing seems to jump out or excite as stated above.

The Boltmanns are a big football family apparently. Dad is a HS coach.

That seems like a way better way to find out than sitting awkwardly in front of your TV trying not to look dumb for the camera.

These high school picks don't seem to work out for us. It must be tough scouting and projecting these kids. If you were to pick one, this is probably a decent variety...steady two way, captain, decent size, RHS.

On Fan960.

Sounds like a good kid. Headed to the Golden Gophers. Guess we'll know in a few years how he pans out.

Not a very exciting pick, but we'll see in a few years. I would have liked Nybeck in this spot personally.

Koumontzis was a fourth round pick. What exactly were you expecting from him?

Perhaps that is fair, but every single team is going to miss at the Draft every single year. The Flames have gotten some pretty great value from the late rounds in the last several drafts; enough so that a missed-pick in the fourth round shouldn't be something to complain about.
