What a joke! There is no risks when unlocking a phone. I unlocked my 9700 for $0.01 and it's the same procedure they would do for $50.

Yep. but some phones are harder to unlock (particularly iPhones as they rely on software unlocks, and official unlocks are authorized through iTunes) where the 50$ would be worth it. Blackberrys aren't, as they are IMEI based codes which can be had for very cheap

the huge difference here is if you unlock with rogers/fido and don't jailbreak your phone your warranty with apple is still good. thats all the difference in the world, frankly.

$50? What a rip off... they're gouging customers for their money. You can buy an unlock code off eBay for $2 for Blackberrys.

Any good sites where I can buy an unlock code for cheap? Have to unlock my Motorola Milestone so that I can use it with MTS next year when they launch their HSPA network.
