Cold sandwiches are gross. A bacon cheeseburger, bahn mi, or meatball sub is a better sandwich than any of these.

Sandwiches of all types are great. I would gladly eat every sandwich on that list except PB&J, and that's just because I don't like jam. Another peanut butter based sandwich? Yeah I'll take that.

Peanut Butter and Peanut butter sandwich.

Ingredients:
Two pieces of highly processed white bread. We can't stress the highly processed enough
Peanut Butter

Tools:
A knife
A plate
Alternatively to a plate, the sink.

Instructions:
Take two pieces of bread, apply a thin layer of peanut butter to one side of each piece. Then take the same pieces of bread and apply a thick layer of peanut butter to each piece on the same side as the thin layer. Place bread together. Eat. Desperately look for something to drink.

Pro Chef's Tip: For easier eating, try assembling the sandwich with the peanut butter sides together!

I prefer peanut butter and honey over PBJ. When I was young with braces it was my go to food especially after getting new elastics.

Hands down it's the Reuben for me. A great Reuben can change your day.

A couple off the wall ones that I enjoy are Peanut Butter and Pickle (sliced garlic dills are best). it sounds odd but is really good.

My girlfriend has also turned me on to the pickled beet sandwich which is surprisingly delicious. Just mayo, pickled beets and pepper.

Stealing nik's format, the PB&J that would destroy the overrated Montreal smoked meat even more than a regular PB&J would

PB&J Sandwich

Ingredients:
Three pieces of white bread
Creamy Peanut Butter (I'm usually a chunky pb guy, but this is where I will admit that non crunchy is the best way)

Jam (I'm a raspberry guy, but this is down to personal preference)

Tools:
A knife
A plate
A toaster

Instructions:
- Insert one piece of bread into toaster, toast to desired crispyness
- While bread is toasting, apply jam to the two remaining pieces of untoasted bread
- Once toast is ready, apply peanut butter. Place PB side down onto jam piece of bread.

- Then apply peanut butter to the exposed side of the bread
- Place other jam piece of bread on top (jam facing peanut butter for best results)
- Cut (diagonally. swing that way, horizontal still leaves you with a perfectly adequate sandwich)

The toasted bread adds a bit of crunch and melty peanut butter, the untoasted pieces allow the 'grip' needed to not have all the ingredients slide out onto everything. It all comes together in a symphony of deliciousness.

PB and honey was literally my school lunch every day of my life through grade 12. It's still my go to favorite.

Peanut butter and honey on toast is awesome. I do like jam too, but honey makes it even better.

PB&J sandwiches are good, but I feel it's in a different category than actual real sandwiches. Kind of like comparing beef jerky to prime rib in the previous meat bracket.

How can this list exist without a Cuban sandwich? Absolutely the best sandwich, taking out even the Montreal smoked meat.

I grew up in Montreal, but lived in Florida, where you can get an authentic Cuban. I eat them every day when I visit.

Cuban:

Spoiler!

Have had cubans throughout S. Florida and they're fantastic.

However, this being Calgary Puck, the options for these polls seem to be geared towards what's widely available here... I've only seen / had one decent cuban sandwich in Calgary, so it makes sense to leave it off the list.

Same for a po' boy... I love a good po' boy, but the only one I've had locally was disgusting.
