Damn.

Schnur still moves up to #92 in the world after this week. If I were him, I would be playing a few 250 events on both ends of the US Open to try and pad that ranking further into the top 100.

I think I read that Schnur and Shapo are planning to play in the ATP 250 event in Winston-Salem next week prior to the US Open.

Leylah Annie Fernandez has moved into the semi-finals of the Odlum Brown Open in Vancouver with a 6-3 6-4 victory over Nao Hibino. It's interesting to note that Hibino has beaten Genie Bouchard on four separate occasions over the past 12 months.

I watched some of the live stream from Vancouver and LAF is very impressive, solid ground strokes, good serve and great court coverage.

The run in Vancouver ends in the semi-finals for Leylah Annie Fernandez as she loses 7-6 6-2 to Heather Watson, but a fine showing for the 16 year old who just appeared to run out of gas in today's match.

Genie Bouchard reminds me of a certain Russian Tennis player, she is pretty much Anna Kournikova of Canada.

Medvedev finds a new gear we haven't yet seen from him, but will it be enough against The Legend tomorrow?

Medvedev made an adjustment between the 1st and 2nd set and it seemed to work.

Weird that targeting the best backhand on tour would actually work. Maybe some video in there for Roger to look at to help break the losing streak.

The ATP just announced that because he beat Goatfin, Medvedev will get 1,500 points instead of 1,000.

Seriously though, I can see him giving Djokovic trouble again at the US Open. Probably won't beat him again but I can see him taking 2 sets and pushing him.

Not without a first serve he's not.

Seriously, he has been playing some pretty awful tennis of late, which is disappointing since you'd think both he and Denis should be at their best for the US Open.

Yeah, the first serve percentage has been pretty terrible as of late and he can't seem to find the box for the second serve with any kind of regularity. Can he fix it in 7 days before the tourney starts?
