Absolutely.

Peaky Blinders is awesome!

I watched Squid Game and it was "okay". Entertained enough.

...but it led me to "My Name" which is a Korean Cop/Mafia drama. Probably my favourite show on Netflix in a long, long time.

After watching S1 of the wire about 3 years ago, I finally got around to season 2. Almost done. I think I’ll keep binging this time.

I’ll be honest though, this is the biggest downer of a show I’ve ever watched. You never get the satisfying payoff where they get the bad guy. I can see why it was a critical darling but never had huge ratings. It’s a tough watch at times and doesn’t exactly leave me feeling in a better mood than when I started.

Oh boy. You're in for a mood when you finish season 4.

There is really nothing “feel good” about The Wire. It’s all depressing.

I can't ever watch that season again. Something about kids being corrupted that kills me inside.

How much of the current crop of prestige TV ever makes you feel good? Seems the trend for great TV is to be gut wrenching, populated by anti heroes. Tony Soprano, Don Draper, Stringer Bell, Walter White. These guys do some horrible things and leave a trail of damaged lives in their wake.

It’s not like GOT where there are some good guys to cheer for.

You're in luck. Joe Pera Talks With You is the heartwarningest show ever shown, and season 3 starts Nov. 7th.

The draw is seeing people do the things you wish you could do if you didn't have a moral compass (or laws) guiding you. They tap into those things you say in your head that you'd never act upon. That's what makes them fun to watch.

I finished the series at the beginning of September. I found it to be really enjoyable. Over the seasons the characters really come into their own. The acting from everyone I thought was really great. One of my favourite series.

I always cheered for Tony, usually Don (sometimes Peggy), often Walt, despite the fact that they were flawed characters or just straight up aholes.

Walt and Don were hard to cheer on in later seasons but Don eventually regained it. Walt…well let’s just not talk about BB. I feel similarly about BB as I do about Chris Nolan movies.

First 3 episodes of Invasion are out. New Apple TV series.

I found it very underwhelming. Will likely skip it for now. I’ll come back if I hear that it picks up.

Mythic Quest is great. I think you'd only need to watch the first two episodes to know if it's right for you. And it will be because it's the best TV show of all time.

Mythic Quest is great. But it stumbled in the second season with the back-to-back episodes about C.W. the writer, neither of which were funny or dramatically compelling. I respect when a show takes chances, but in this case they fell flat and kinda killed the momentum of the whole season.

Midnight Mass 4/10.

Story was uninspired and predictable and pacing was absolutely terrible. Characters seem to like to do long monologues where they don't actually say much. His series seem to be getting worse as he goes. I loved Hill House. Bly Manor was still solid, but this one was just not worth the 7 hours I wasted on it.

I'm the exact opposite on this. The C.W. backstory episode (plus Dark Quiet Death in season 1) are a big part of what elevate it for me from generic workplace comedy to something kinda special.

I would throw in the quarantine special as well but I totally understand where Cliff is coming from. Especially if you were hoping to watch a goofy fun show. Even if he is wrong since it is perfect in everyway.

If you haven't yet, check out Reservation Dogs. Aired on FX, now available to binge on Disney+. I really love this series.

Holy crap, it is so good. Watiti is a genius.

I am not an indigenous person but I would imagine that community is really appreciative of the details and heart this team put into this series.

I don’t mind a serious episode in a comedy show. For instance, I liked Quiet Dark Death. I just thought the C.W. episodes were hamfisted and bad attempts at serious drama.
