Yeah I'm really surprised that he couldn't get at least a one year deal from a team. There are worse players in the league under contract.

I wonder why he would take a PTO with a team that won’t give players time unless they play a 200ft game? I suppose the Flames have cap space and a potential spot for him in the top 6/9. Flames keep their options open if a trade comes along and Milano also keeps his options open if another team has an opportunity. If neither happens I wouldn’t be surprised to see him sign here and he has the full training camp experience so I do see it making sense

People keep saying that but his defensive analytics aren't really that bad. He does need to play better away from the puck but it's not like he's Laine bad defensively.

He was a -9 on a terrible team this is overblown

Sutter can straighten him out

34 points in 66 games is pretty good for a 26 year old PTO. I bet the Flames sign him quickly if they like what they see.

edit: Milano was traded to the Ducks Feb 2020. Darryl was a consultant with the Ducks from July 2019 to March 2021, so there might be some familiarity between the two. They would have had one training camp together
