The worst part is, it appears that this is something we will hear quite often over a large part of the next decade

Guy put up 4 straight years of PPG+ as a 2nd line winger.
He’s an offensive specialist against soft opposition.
115 point season had 38 PPP - 77 even strength points actually surprised me, but I think it speaks to the even strength load that Barkov’s line carried allowing for Huby to gather points from the 2nd line.
Also something interesting - in Florida Huby played 3:41, 4:19, 3:34, 3:25 AVG PPTOI for his 4 PPG+ years. In CGY, 2:52, 2:42.

At least we have Kelly telling us how wonderful the Sabres are.

Taking a while to get to 5000

I don't mind Kelly or any other announcer telling me what good players are on the opposition. Its the gushing that gets me. And it's damn near every f'n game.

At some point 10 needs to take responsibility for throwing his passes to absolutely no one.

Nice few saves by Wolf.
Just chuckled and cried while thinking about drafting Tij Iginla. He’ll make his debut in 2025/2026, and we’ll get to have the “we need to get a centre to play with Iginla” conversation all over again

He played in an East/West system which he needs to be an effective player. Just like the majority of our forwards.

I think there’s a good chance you did more due diligence there in 5 minutes on Huberdeau than Treliving and company did in total.

Yup, instant change to opposing teams feed as soon as I hear it's Hrudey. I cannot stand him.

I don’t necessarily agree with your “Huska is terrible” opinion (too early to tell in my eyes), but I 100% agree with this point.

Huberdeau’s decision making with his passes has been very bad these last few games. Constant turnovers.

Hrudey talks just as glowingly about the Flames players. You guys find weird things to hate about color announcers.

I will say that a lot of it with Huby is confidence I think and when it dips he starts throwing bad passes. It just isn't Huska for me.

Random fact: a friend of mine got a dog named Keba, and my phone always autocorrected to Krebs. One day I got fed up and called it out: "What the hell is Krebs?!"
That's how I have always felt about the player Peyton Krebs. He feels like a typo.

The constant whining about Hrudey not being an Oiler level homer is far more annoying than anything Hrudey has ever said IMO.

Has he changed? I don't know, I have not listened to him this year really. I do know before this season that is very blatently false! If I didn't know he was a Flames broadcaster I would have thought he was part of the opposing teams broadcast in a bias group, like Boston's.

I was shocked to see the Rooney line had over 3 minutes in ice time this period. I don't remember seeing them out there once until the very end.

Have you watched a game where we play the Oilers or the HNIC panel? Kelly Hrudey is an Oilers level homer.
