I better never hear Edmonton fans complain about reffing again. Absolutely freebie PP for them despite no call made live.

Kane interferes with a Montreal player causing the Montreal players stick to hit Henrique and so now they get a 4 minute powerplay mostly in OT. Tell me this league isn't doing everything they can to help team welfare.if

I mean... it was a highstick that cut Henrique open. It's absolutely a penalty.

Not if they don’t call it live. Which they didn’t.

Take Kane off too then. He caused the Montreal players stick to ride up and clip Henrique. Oilers always need s little league assistance to give them that extra push. Always given, never earned with those ####ers!!

I don't think Jake Brenk should be allowed to officiate Oiler games. He was a draft pick of the Oilers for crying out loud.

A highstick can be called after the fact if the refs missed it but the linesman saw it. They are allowed to confer about a missed highstick, which is what happened.

Only a 4 minute high sticking penalty can be reviewed. The linesmen can call a penalty for high sticking but a 2 minute high sticking penalty isn't reviewable. It was the right call.

2 man team beats a non playoff team and need goals from pissy and McPoints, along with a 4 min powerplay to win in Connor’s favourite period- 3 on 3 OT with a powerplay. Pretenders.

That makes no difference if the player is cut. Any 4 minutes high sticking penalty can be reviewed even if originally missed. If henrique isn't cut then it's not reviewable but the linesman can call it after the fact.

He wasn't cut. He had a nose bleed.

It was a penalty but the whole sequence was so Edmonton. Two guys collide away from the puck and the opponent's stick swings up and hits a random skater resulting in a 4 min high stick. Penalty? Yeah. Lucky? Yeah.

That game was all Montreal until 6 mins of PP to close out the third and OT.
