Seems to me we have good luck with Hobey Baker winners and candidates if memory serves.?
His coach says he's a tremendous leader and coach's like that kinda stuff because those guys aren't as hard to coach and help propel and elevate everyone around them.
I'll take a Sam Morton on this or the Wranglers roster . We need winners and leaders in this organization.

I assume he’s more of a B level prospect? Or is he a C level prospect?

Just be better than Bryce Van Brabant...I think he used the money from his Flames contract to fund a family oil recycling and other waste bin business.

24 goals in 37 games in div I NCAA is nothing to sneeze at

I'm glad Conroy is pursuing college UFAs. There are a handful of very interesting players available

He turns 25 in July and is older than all of these players who have played for the Flames this season: Matt Coronato, Yan Kuznetsov, Connor Zary, Cole Schwindt, Dustin Wolf, Jakob Pelletier, Nikita Okhotiuk, Adam Klapka, Ilya Solovyov, Martin Pospisil, and Brayden Pachal.

You are comparing, in some cases, undrafted players with a player who has played 6 years in college who turns 25 soon.

Likely a long shot, but it's a lottery ticket, and sometimes they pay off.

Might well help the Wrangles in the playoffs, and they can surely sue it with all the callups to the Flames.

I am not comparing anything. I am just reasserting that 24 goals in the NCAA is pretty good.

You’re right, should have signed that Celebrini guy.
His stats are way better

I have no memory of this, but seems wild that we signed the guy, gave him 6 games in the NHL I assume to sign him, but he basically never scored in juniors, NCAA or the minors after we signed him.

To his benefit, he is putting up 2 PPG in senior hockey now according to Elite Prospects.

Sounds like a player the team had targeted, so they wasted little time signing him when he became available.

Worst case scenario: He's Wranglers depth. One year and done.

Conroy had a pretty apparent plan to look at a whole bunch of potential defencemen and centres. Maybe a couple will be gems. Peple just need to keep in mind that this will also mean a whole bunch don't pan out.

Fair enough, but let’s not forget a few weird Covid years in there, too. It probably quite a few gems around the mid 20s Marc who got overlooked or will develop late because of that interruption
