Bart can ride the pine all season long as the number 7. Capable in a pinch but should be bypassed for anything more than spot duty now. Andersson and Kylington need to play big minutes this year and can't be sitting for weeks on end as the odd man out in Calgary.

Bart doesn't need to go down because he's not taking up an important playing spot. I'd hate to have Anderson or another rookie in his spot, it's more important that they play right now. If an injury hits, then those guys can come up.

Bartkowski has played a lot this season. I'm not so sure he is permanently in the press box.

Even though Freddie did not get sent down today, and the Flames have 30 days to decide what to do, isn't it true that someone (presumably Freddie) will need to be sent down right away when Jagr is taken off the injury reserve?

Yep. Freddie (or a waiver exempt guy like Jankowski) would have to go when Jagr is cleared. But if the plan was to send Jankowski down, they wouldn't have bothered with putting Freddie on waivers.

I suppose a trade could also be made but thats a lot of work just to keep Freddie Hamilton on your roster.

Treliving likes him as a player and is hoping he doesn't get claimed. With injuries he would be one of his callups.
