SFU goalie has trouble with long distance shots.

Note to SFU, don't take penalties. thats 4 pp goals in one period. Your PK sucks.

Jankowski wasn't on the ice for that goal... I saw him leave a few seconds before the shot.

I thought that was him on the right side making the pass to Saracino right before the shot...

Looking at the replay he was headed off the ice, but didn't quite make it there.

Official goal scoring is Walman from Ruggerio.

He's been on the 2nd unit this game, but I wonder if that's a preseason thing.

Or it could just be how the ice time was before the PPs.

Only pre season against sitting ducks but the basic things like good positioning and consistency in the face off department are key. And Janko's doing both of those exceedingly well. Such a fluid skater too. Doesn't look blindingly fast but he fast.

The upside of it being a lopsided game is that it will be easier to switch to the Flames game when it starts.

SFU goalie may collapse due to exhaustion if this keeps up:

PC Men's Hockey @FriarsHockey
Friars up 34-8 in shots with 8:46 left in the 2nd period.

Well, at 8-1, the Friars are looking ready for the season.

Jankowski is part of a very dangerous line this year. Very cool.

edit: though I fully expect the season to have teams three times this hard at minimum.

Yeah, SFU isn't even up to CIS standards. Being blown out by the Friars is pretty predictable.
