My first appearance in this thread, and of course I'm gonna point out stuff about me.

It was a pleasure to be able to book the ticket for Petr... He wanted to leave on March 22, but unfortunately Aeroplan decided that they didn't want people using points for flights to Prague that day, so had to talk to Petr to see if he was ok with the 23rd (I asked about the 21st too, but totally forgot there was a game that night), and he was and that was the end of that!

I can see how important it is for Petr, and like many have said, it is the greatest Czech hockey player playing for his favourite team, there is just no way this does not happen. Had some conversations with Locke and he mentioned that he may need a little more help with the plane ticket... figuring the amount of points I'd collected over so many years, this was a good way to use them (I'm weird in the sense that I collect, but really use it)

I like to do things in the background and somewhat anonymously, hence I have yet to post in this thread until now... and didn't want to come out saying that I'd booked Petr's ticket to get here.

Hello guys!

Just bumped this Aeneas´ thread because my trip to Calgary is exactly one month /31 days/ away! Time flies!!! Want to tell everybody who supports me that nothing has changed for me. With or without 68 I am looking forward to my stay the SAME! It is all about the Flames for me and I cannot wait!!!! Looking forward to see you all guys during my stay, and of course looking forward to see my beloved Flames on my own eyes again!Hope I will come for some great hockey and it will be a helluva trip for me as was the case in 2011 and 2014! Also hope I will bring some much needed luck for home games!!!! Want to thank again everybody who participated on this whole thing!

Now, we can get a food spread for a fee but I would need numbers. My AGM is going to book the upper dining room for us so that we can put the volume up.

But again, we should try to get a feel for how many are coming to this."

Just picked up some tix to this game section 110 for my 39th bday. Gonna be home in YYC for the first time in 4 years! Point is, wouldn’t mind tracking Petr down and buying him a beer at the game.

Of course there is, plenty. Jagr played his 1st game for his own club "Kladno" in the WSM liga (2nd tier czech league) against side "Benatky nad Jizerou". Jagr had 3 assists in 7-2 victory. Notable mention: Petr Nedved came home from Florida to play in this game after 4 years without pro hockey. He wanted to harness this opportunity as his farewell and proper ending to his remarkable career. Despite all odds, he went 1+1, scoring a beauty.

Why I'd be a good choice to go to a Flames game with Petr:

• I'm very loud (I'm always hoarse after games)
• I always buy 1 round of dome foam for my mates
• I put my beer down for home goals so I can cheer more enthusiastically and not spill on anyone
• I shout along in time to Beasley's goal calls, because it's hype
• I don't scream "SHOOOOOOT". I lodge my complaint in paragraph form instead.
• I avoid taking a massive verbal dump on struggling players unless they singlehandedly choke away a game, in which case it's no holds barred.
• I haven't sat with any fans as diehard and passionate as Petr before, and if it were anyone else on CP I would not be asking for free tickets just for a chance to cheer the Flames together.

Why I'd be a good choice to go to a game with calgaryboy:

- Because, until rather recently (or perhaps still, depending on your definition of the term), I was literally a "calgary boy"
- I give terrific high-fives, if I may say so myself
- It is not necessary to purchase those darned expensive dome foams for me! Not for another few months, at least
- I do NOT do the wave
- I am relentlessly optimistic about the team's play, even if they're losing -- I try to be fun to sit with!
- I share Twizzlers!
- I shower before coming to hockey games -- it's just common courtesy!
- The Ducks are so much fun to beat and it'd be an extra dose of fun to sit with such a passionate fan as Petr!
