Got word that the CF-18's should be departing around 1500 for Comox. Believe there are 5 here in total now, would be sweet to get them all departing at the same time in sequence.

Had another one fly over the house about 30 minutes or so ago (maybe longer). Do you know what direction they'll take off in? Just curious if we're going to get it in "stereo" - I want to be out there if they buzz over us again.

Currently the 17's are in use, so aircraft departing southbound over the city. I'd guess they'll take the west runway (17R) since they are heading to Comox.

Might just have to venture outside for a break and hopefully see some action.
New name (and ownership) and just like that...JetBlue announces an order for 60 of the Airbus A220-300 (CS300) with an option for 60 more frames. To replace the Embraer jets in their fleet currently. Deliveries to start in 2020.
Was driving to Airdrie this morning for an appt and two of the CF-18s took off over top of us. Even in the car, with all the road noise, we both went "woah! those are loud!" Was very cool to see and hear.

So JetBlue pretty much becomes the largest operator of the A220 with this and the Moxy order...
-Delta 75
-JetBlue 60
-airBaltic 50
-Air Canada 45
-Macquarie Airfinance 40
-Republic Airways 40 (not sure if this one is still in limbo though)
-Swiss 30

So is JBU converting the Moxy order to a JBU order?
I couldn't find anything online actually confirming the Moxy order, so I don't think BBD ever put it on the books. This JetBlue order specifically said it was to replace their E190's (of which they have 60). So perhaps another order will be coming down the pipe for Moxy?
