From what I understand, there's really only 142 you can catch right now. 3 more non regional that can be hatched, apparently. The 3 big birds associated with each team, ditto, mew and mewtoo aren't released yet.

has the hatching regional pokemon been confirmed? I feel there are so many conflicting reports.

We started picking remote gyms, but have since found areas with a high concentration of gyms and not so many players works just as well. Exactly as you suggest, players just move on to easier targets.
Success rate of holding more than 1 day is probably about 2/5, and any that have gone a second day have yet to fall, but I fully expect will at some point in time.
One time made a temporary truce with an enemy, and had him knock out one Pokémon in a very strong gym, that I raised the prestige of and entered - and did the same thing for him in his gym.
But I felt traitorous afterwards

For me the game was getting slow to play (level 27 pokedex 129). This made it interesting again, for a while. But assuming 10 are locked down, I dunno then. Thought about running around bringing down really strong enemy gyms, but I dunno - leaving 10 big beasts behind takes some toll on your ability to attack.

Wow you bring it up that high? We never bothered with it. We just took out the gyms and then left 3 mons at 2k+ CP's. We put lower 1600-1900 into the lower traffic gyms and put 2.5-3.3k in the higher traffic, like a YMCA.

Worked well, but we no longer have the Friday's off for the summer

When do you start finding Pokemon at 1000+ cp? I'm level 15 and I have found a 617 lickitung as my highest.

I never found one. All mine were evolved.

I thought that it had been 100% confirmed you could hatch regionals. After doing some Silph road research it pretty much seems that this is a myth started by the spoofers/cheaters who didn't want to admit they were cheaters. There doesn't seem to be anyone that has claimed to actually hatch a regional who also was able to show they had a legitimate account.

That is what I thought. They have to come up with a way to get them without traveling though, no idea how but come on.

Hatched a 10 K egg to get Evee, and evolved it to a 1590 Vaporeon.

Just took down a gym with only one Pokemon in it, and knowing that whatever I put in there would very soon itself be removed, I put a 96 CP weedles in to defend the gym and immediately took my defender bonus.

I like putting Magikarps as my gym leaders. Nothing scarier than a pokemon with a regular attack that does 0 damage.

That's pretty much what I do. I'm only after a gym for the 10 coins. I don't care how long my pokemon stays in the gym, as long as I pop it in and get my money out.

Just did a lucky egg evolve spree, got 32 evolves I believe. Now over halfway to level 22.

21 over 1000 CP now.

Of all the evolves, Omastar is the one I don't think I'll ever get (1 catch, 3 candies).

I have had such rotten luck with my 10 km eggs. My best guy from an 10km egg is a 620 omanyte. I'm level 23 and consider this crap a joke. Onax, Jinx, evees round out the rest of this crap. Getting hard to continue to play with nothing or luck.

I'm near level 25 and the only high value 10k hatch I have had was a Snorlax. The rest were as you describe.

I got two Lapras' from 10k eggs. The second one I hateched is my second strongest pokemon (2008 CP)
