Wasn’t one of the conditions for the NDP propping up a minority that TMX stops? Unless they reverse that, we’re going to be back at the polls soon.

I voted CPC, out of self interest I couldn’t vote for people looking to strip thousands upon thousands of property from me based on lies and give the cities the power to take thousands more with no compensation

I can't remember the exact verbiage but I don't believe it was a stop to TMX.

It wasn't a not not stop to it either though.

When asked by a reporter on Friday whether he would make cancellation of the controversial pipeline expansion a condition for his party to support a possible Liberal minority government, Singh said he has been and remains fundamentally opposed to the project, but did not explicitly commit to toppling the Liberals if the project continues to go ahead.
...
When asked to clarify his position, Singh offered similar remarks.

“Yeah we’ve been fighting the pipeline before, we’re going to continue to fight it, we’re always going to fight it,” he said.
...
One official with the party said Singh views the cancellation of the Trans Mountain project as a priority for himself and his party, and that will be the case whether the party is elected to power or operates in a kingmaker capacity.

“As for TMX, we’ve said we’re clearly opposed and would cancel the expansion,” that source said.

“Those are his priorities for any role Canadians give us. As government, opposition, in a minority or coalition, or in vote to vote.”

I kind of enjoy the fact that in Federal elections you can vote however you want because your vote is basically meaningless.

Provincial and Municipal elections have more often pulled me into voting against someone.

CBC calling it already. Our BC votes haven't even been counted yet.

Find someone halfway better than Andrew Scheer. What a waste of an election by the Cons.

Yeah. *sigh*

I tried explaining this to some folks in Ontario over 20 years ago. They didn’t understand the disenfranchisement.

I don’t think it has changed, but basically a third of the population is in Ontario, a third east, and a third west. Before polls close in the West, the election can have been decided.

In the last election, it was very close, but the projections point to this year being a solid Conservative victory.

It's too bad the Liberals didn't win the riding last time because their candidate seemed like he would have been a decent MP, and losing the riding may have given the Conservatives a reason to nominate a decent candidate this time around. From everything I've seen of the guy, Len Webber seems to be the definition of an empty suit. In fact, I think we would have received better representation from a dry cleaning bag with a blue suit inside than we got from Webber.
I just looked up the results from last election as I was looking for numbers from tonight and I was surprised to see that Len almost lost in 2015. He only won by 1600 votes or 2%. I honestly thought it would have been a much larger difference. This election is a landslide though as he is up by 15000 or so votes.

The PC's are not happy with their numbers. I expect Scheer to be replaced by someone in the coming months. Scheer was a huge disappointment in my eyes and should never have been chosen the leader. He had the personality and chrisma of a wart hog.

It’s pretty well irrelevant what Singh does, it’s a strong minority and the Tories will support the Liberals on any sort of TMX related vote. The NDP are reduced to nothing and will hardly have a voice.

Certainly they are the biggest losers in this election. The polls had them at 20 and they ended up around 15.

I agree with the CTV pundits, there will be no coalition and it’s not required. The Liberals can use the Bloc to shutdown SNC, the Tories on pipelines and the NDP if they want to add dental coverage to pensioners.
