This is where the PVR really excels for me. I'll sometimes deliberately start a hockey game an hour late so I can get some stuff done, the skip the commercials and intermissions and finish at about the same time.
The biggest challenge, and it is a difficult one, is avoiding social media to prevent spoilers.

The locals got eliminated last night. They were in trouble from the start, being on the 3rd flight out of Kelowna.
You'd think with the number of Chinese people in Vancouver's Chinatown, a team could of easily gotten some help in leading them to the stores with all the different pieces to the lion dance costume.
Looks like they go to Ranchmans in next week's episode for some 2-stepping. LOL.

My understanding is they have to dance around and avoid dog #### on the floor.

My biggest challenge is to not turn on the TV to the "live' game before getting a chance to get into the PVR menu.

WTF, Blackberry? An ad on the bottom of the screen with about 5 minutes left saying that it's a non-elimination leg? Not cool, CTV and Blackberry, not cool.

I thought it was hilarious. The exact conversation I had with a friend over IM:
Friend: So it's the doctors or the father/son...
Me: Well, it could be non-elimination...
[This non-elimination round was brought to you by Blackberry]
Me: See?
EDIT - Also, this show is great motivation for me to punch the next hippie I see.

First time watching Amazing Race since probably season 2 of the original series. It's funny that they are all grouped up every episode while trying to get on a plane since they have to go with Air Canada and there's only so many flights/day. It's going to be even worse next week since it sounds like they're flying to the Yukon. There's probably only 1 or 2 flights a day from Calgary/Edmonton/wherever they fly out of, so they'll all end up on the same plane.
I'm cheering for Body Break or the two jocks, because they made me laugh last episode.

The dr's are incredibly annoying! Her defeatest attitude and his tourette-like repeating of "Hol, Hol, Hol" makes me want to smack them both repeatedly.
I know the guys from AB, and they were very disappointed to be eliminated right before the Calgary leg.
I'm now cheering for the muscle heads, just because they seem like really good guys.

Agreed. However, his reaction to not being elminated was hilarious. His stock went up a bit with me because of that.
Also when his wife finally did the line dance, he runs in to hug her but she is already in mid hug with the judge and he basically grabs her boobs instead. Awesome.
And ya, those two muscle heads are kinda amusing. I think they are totally in the closet though.

I loved how they bitched about having their integrity questioned for breaking their word when they admitted to breaking their word...

When Tim and Tim said "Horse thief Canyon? We drove by there on the way here!" did anyone else immediately think that they were going to the wrong way (which they did)?

Still not enough to make me want to cheer for them. So insanely annoying.
I heard someone ask if the muscle boys were Gay and the response was "unfortunately not" lol

That was the most insanely Canadian moment on the show so far.
"Mind if we have the spot?"
"No, I'm sorry I think we're going to keep it."
"That's okay."

I think Canada is too big of a country for this type of race with too few major cities.
How can every team be on the same flight? Having a 3-4 hour lead really means nothing.
Next week they go to Regina, how many flights from Yukon to Regina? ONE!
Funny enough, Amazing Race Vietnam is airing at almost the same time (they are on leg 3 this friday) and with a smaller country and not using planes at all, the teams must really be careful to do tasks quickly and get on the right bus or right taxi.
If it were subtitled, I'd show you

I suspect once they wrap up their obligatory territories visit the flights will become more reasonable. Weren't there 3 different flights in usage from Victoria to Vancouver?

I watched a couple of episodes out of curiosity to see places I've been to, but am not a fan of reality TV so lost interest quickly.
