Someone will win the cup in Rogers Place this year and it won't be the Oilers.

I dare anyone to watch 5 minutes of this and not wish for failure for the next thousand years for this arrogant and entitled organization.

But guys, they did win... the NHL hub city sweepstakes! That deserves a banner I'm sure.

Every scene with the scouts in that episode looks like the first part of 'Moneyball' where the aged dinosaurs babble on about stuff that doesn't matter with complete arrogance. The whole episode is even more comical with the knowledge of what happened in the ten years since then.

How is it possible (outside of the Oilers) for a manager to say that, have the next 13 years of results, and still have a job?

He’s only 34, there’s still time to get the remaining 580 goals, and 1246 points.

He had all of zero goals and three assists for the Oilers.

Oh right - It was Chris Pronger demanding a trade that brought in Smid as part of a youth movement that saw Smid's entire NHL career end before the Oilers crack the top 25.

and Joffrey Lupal (former Tiger) who is one of many Oilers to be far more productive both BEFORE becoming an Oiler and AFTER leaving for a better team.

2005/06 Mighty Ducks of Anaheim 53 Points
2006–07 Edmonton Oilers 28 Points
2007–08 Philadelphia Flyers 46 Points
2008–09 Philadelphia Flyers 50 Points

its been a hell of a good run.

I watched 5 minutes, and got to this hilarious part:

Watch at 4:50 for the dawn of the next decade of a dynasty like no other.

2010 Kevin Lowe:

Oh 2010 Daryl, if only you knew...

I would get a root canal to distract me from watching that again.

Does Barzal have a hot girlfriend?
No but Griffin Reinhart does.
I like it! Shows confidence!

Marvel was able to start, expand and resolve an entire 22 movie cinematic universe in the same amount of time.

Every oil fan I knew bought into the hype of that show 1000%. Literally heard terms like "it's just math" and "they are too good to fail" etc. It would have been sad if it wasn't hilarious.

"Hollsy" as he is apparently called has his hands full this offseason again. Very little cap space to do anything at all.

I predicted Mcdavid requesting a trade after next year, keeping that prediction. I don't see them making the playoffs next season either.

Oh man, watched 5 minutes. Katz with the ######y sunglasses on inside the hotel at the beginning. Then when he says "It's nice to pick first, not that we would want to do this every year". What irony.

My favorite part of the episode Ashasx posted was at 8:01 "Good job boys, that's our work", "Now what are we going to do?" once they had selected Hall 1st OA.

So much comedy.

I imagine many Oiler fans dreamed of seeing the Cup being presented at Rogers Place this year. Well, that dream will come true, but now it's a nightmare!
