Really good rivalry game between the Blue's and the Hawks.

We outsthot them 31-30.

I set the physical play up, and as a result we took 7 penalties to the Hawks 2, so the ref conspiracy continues, but we killed 6 of the penalties

Nick Bonino broke out with a 3 point game and 1 goal.
Since our 0-2 start we're 5-0-1

I guess this sharks team is built to play wide open hockey using the NBA's Houston Rockets as a model.

Won't get very far scoring 4 but letting in 5 every night.

We went shot for shot against Montreal who most would say is the better team. Getzlaf had his 1st goal as a Sabre. Granlund with the shortie.

Kept the Oilers to 25 shots which is good.

Zibenejad is a killer. 8 goals on the year.

Still haven't found out the right line combos...hoping to magically come up with something before the season starts!!

We're really scoring by committee with only Perry and Garland surprisingly not having any points in the pre season.

On an off-day, Mrazek was excused from the practice and asked to get some R&R. He spent his day on the beach. Hopefully the beach day has helped him clear his head.

Though not excused, Byfuglien also found himself on the beach instead of practice. He will be benched for the next few games as a punishment.

Even though we lost, the Avs have been rolling. 45 shots but Lehner pulled out the win.

Overall I have been really happy with the way the Avs have been playing. I think I have figured out the line combos.

I'm a little worried that Boroweicki is my best player by a wide margin. For this upcoming game, I'm taking a player who has been useless all pre-season, and pairing him with my highest rated guy. It's a back to back with Calgary, so it will be interesting to see the effect of a couple of alterations before the season starts.

Offence is clicking. I missed lines in this one. But good to see the lineup that lost last game got us a big win.
