Interesting. I always am holding it right or left right before they even line up so that could explain something. When I first started NHL13 I was crushing in the faceoff circle (probably like 80% wins) but now that I'm up around level 50 I think my average has dropped to around 60% although occasionally I come across someone who wins nearly 100% of the draws. Sometimes it seems like no matter what I do I can't win any faceoffs (maybe a slow connection problem?).

I just wish the CPU would make one single play, offensive or defensive, that didn't make me want to carve a developer's eye out.

I've been actually quite happy with the game. I don't play anything near the actual game by any means (V1.04, heavily edited slider ratings), but the amount of frustrating play is limited to "goalie lets in soft goal once every few games" and "Baertschi rag dolled on the ice 10 seconds". Is it an online game? No. Is it that good under default settings? God no. I still can use Keith to dance through 5 players. But, if you work at it a little (and there are some online guides to help you through this), you can actually make a game with pretty strong resemblance of hockey.
I can understand the hatred if you're playing an online 5v5 game though. There are so many loopholes in the vanilla game.

I can't help but laugh every time the play by play guy says Parise's name.
Pa-reez-EHHHHHH, with a lot of emphasis on the EHHHHH.

The best one was the American guy a couple of years ago calling Benoit Pouliot 'Poolio'.

^Well, it isn't Poo-lee-ott. Poo-lee-oh is the correct pronunciation.

I honestly love the "colour" commentary provided by the two. It hasn't changed in years.
"Finish, finish, finish...and I'm not talking about the country"
"[team] has replaced their goalie." "And for good reason" (Pulled goalie had a shutout going)
I turn it off and provide my own with Loubardias-esc commentary.

Is anyone else having the same freezing problems on PS3 as I am? This game is virtually unplayable. It freezes at the game loading screen all the time. I can get one game in usually, then it freezes and I have to restart.
Any luck fixing this issue? I've deleted my custom music like is suggested online, but that hasn't helped at all.

With the current online tuner set, the Flames are awesome. No kipper but bouwmeester is like a young bobby Orr and the whole team is super fast, just flip Cammy to first line with Cervenka

And referring to the team by city instead of the team name
"The Boston's ......"

Go to online menu, then settings and you should find the option to download rosters. Do that, find the roster update you want to download, then start Be A GM with the roster setting to 'current'.

Anyone else notice the Nationwide Arena glitch? Whenever I play the Jackets in Columbus, it has the Blue Jackets ice, but the arena is the Stars arena. The announcers even say "Welcome to American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas."
The Blue Jackets and Stars share the same arena, lol.
