Had a look and he's right ...
I think there's some keep looking for a stat that makes him look bad in this, but that doesn't really hide the fact that most of the expected stats are bad.
He's in a grouping with (Calgary and Edmonton players) Bartkowski and Stewart, and Letestu and Kassian. Troy Brouwer for players that routinely get out played but also to a greater degree then their teammates (relative).
What isn't mentioned though is that actual goals in those 217 games have him at a positive 13
It's pretty rare to be + and also have a terrible relative figure ... Chris Stewart is the only player that has spent any time with the Flames that is similar.
Spooner's zone starts at 60% make him one of the most sheltered players in hockey though
They've basically added a guy with offence that hurts them to a degree that exceeds said offence
