It would be right up there with the best of the 80's but yes, I think the amount of talent the Flames have under the age of 24 is the most it has ever been.

We now have about 20 good forwards, 10 good D and 3 Goalies that are all showing potential in some way or another.

It'll be interesting to see if the Flames will parlay any older talents in the prospect pipeline that don't quite fit into additional assets like the Sven and Reinhart deals to get more picks. I could see Sieloff and possibly a guy like Wotherspoon being candidates if they don't improve beyond what they have shown.

Considering our farm teams leading scorer (Agostino) hasn't received a single vote this round, we must be pretty close!

Nitpicking, but wouldn't last years be slightly higher?
Gaudreau, Baertchi, Jooris equal or better than this years picks.

Or are we including each prospects growth into the equation?
Either way, great pool.

Yeah last year's was better, only because Johnny Hockey was on it though. This year's version is still awesome but we just had a star graduate so it can't be better since no one of that pedigree was added.

As soon as Arnold is gone, I'm voting for Agostino until he's ranked. Really underrated player who is hurt by his slow start last year. Now that he's acclimated with the AHL, I'm expecting 30g 60-70p next year with a call up or two.

Indeed, He was scoring at above a ppg over the last quarter of the season when everything was on the line. I thought he was done then all of a sudden he came alive. If he can carry over what he started near the end then I'd think he could be one of the best players for the heat next year.

For whatever reason, I really like Agostino, Culkin, and Mangiapane as prospects. I just have a really good feeling about them. Went with Morrison this round though because I feel like he has a good chance of making an impact in the NHL this season.

There are only 6 players I should have voted for then. Oops.

There's a good argument to be made for guys like Morrison and Arnold.

I'm going off the board though, and taking Rafikov. I think he and Morrison are the only guys left who have real NHL impact-player upside.

Many of us here saw him in the AHL last year and he was fantastic.

One reason I'm not going over enthusiastic on Morrison is that he only played 10 games in the AHL last season. Yes he looked good but that's too short of a time for me to come to a conclusion. Kulak looked good in his 10 games the season before and ended up in the ECHL this season.
