AHAHA, I am laughing right now dubc80. That is one of the best things I have ever heard. Poutinize, like he pronounced it pootenize, or? Because that sounds awesome.

By the way, where is King of Subs. I know of a Alberta King of Subs, is this the place everyone is talking about, or is it somewhere else?

Thumbs down to New York Fries poutine. They just put shredded mozzarella and gravy on top of fries. That does not make a poutine.

For fast food, I'll take A&W.

Italian Poutine (replace gravy with marinara sauce) is also delicious, if you can find it anywhere.

I went to NYF today and they put the curds on it, not shredded. Although it was too expensive and didn't even fill the cup, but I think it tastes better than A&W, I like NYF gravy more than A&W's, but A&W puts more cheese on it.

I actually laughed out loud.
Was your reply - "Want me to punchisize your face....for free?"

Yep. Poo-tin-ize is how it's pronounced. Hilarious.

C.B's Drive Inn on Northmount Drive has the best poutine in the city by a country mile.

BUMP.

Anyone have any poutine suggestions in the deep SE? The Wife's cousin is in town and wants some poutine, I was hoping for a pub.

Original Joes? Dixons? Coach and Horses? Kelseys?

I like the poutine at Rocky's Burger Bus. Been a while though, don't know how it is now.

I used to work for NY fries when I was a teenager, we were the first to bring poutine into a lot of Canada and we used and still do real cheese curds.

The original NYF one is really good, I know back then some customers bought poutine but put KFC gravy over it, tried that once and thought it was quite good.

Man I haven't had poutine in like 15yrs lol.

Never had a poutine in my life. It just looks so gross to me. And my cousin brought a BK poutine to my place a couple weeks back and the smell nearly made me wanna gag.

In fairness, the BK poutine should in no way be used to judge poutines as a whole.

District on 11th Ave does "gourmet" poutine.

http://enjoydistrict.com/about-2/our-food/

We like poutine. Poutine for the People! Choose your size (S, M, L), choose your toppings (pan seared mushrooms, gruyere cheese, sour cream, fresh tomatoes, sliced jalapenos, bacon, chicken breast, duck leg confit, a fried egg, a porkchop!) Voila! Perfect as a starter, a main, or for sharing.
