Heather Glen is one of the first usually and I don't think Fox Hollow ever closes (bring a helmet).
Love seeing this thread get bumped... Kananaskis tee time booking opens in a few weeks.

Going towards Lethbridge can get you on the course earlier as well - if you are eager and don't mind the drive. Have done Paradise Canyon, Clareshom, etc in March in years past.

You can also usually get on at Land O Lakes in Coaldale early as well. Just another course that really does not close

I did Fox Hollow late in the season last year. It's a bit noisy close to Deerfoot, but other than that I didn't mind the layout.
Shawnee Slopes was a bit of a worse layout for having to wear a helmet.

Jelly. I got the 790s before those were released.

Mid to late April for decent courses.

790's are great - I was hitting them just was well on the Trackman - the 770's just have that sex appeal

Played 18 today. 15,000 steps and don’t think I broke 100 but don’t give crap. 18 more tomorrow and 18 again on Sunday. Got a membership at Henderson this year, first time since junior (20+ years) with a membership.

How did you think Henderson wintered Derek? I got my membership out in Butte this year but I tend to play a handful of rounds at Hendo every year

It looked good, but hard to say yet. The greens were fantastic for, well, March. No winter kill at all. Tee boxes and fairways were great but firm and dry. The challenge will be moisture between now and when the irrigation gets turned on. Will be hitting of of mats on the or threes for a while yet.
Course was packed with players coming from Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Grand Prairie.

What are the cheapest memberships in the Calgary area? I can't do Nanton or anything of that distance, unfortunately.

What is Lil Devil like at Blue Devil?
I'm considering putting together a small group golf event for my team at work. We have about 4 groups that are golfers and about 2 groups that are either non golfers or have played a very minimal amount but would be interested in trying golf. Because of the set up at Blue Devil I thought it might be ideal because we could do 18 for the golfers and get a later tee time for the non golfers on the Lil Devil course and we could all meet up for burgers and beer when our rounds are done.

That sounds like a great plan actually. Lil Devil is perfect for non golfers. Gives a golf course feel without the dejection of trying to play a 480 yard par 4 when you can't hit it 40 yards on your best shot.

Nanton has the cheapest membership. If you are talking about doing one year annual, then pretty much anywhere is about $4,000 give or take.

Did some cursory looking because I was interested to see how the market is looking. Tried to find the closest thing to a general 'annual membership' but there's lots of variance in what exactly that entitles you to.
Valley Ridge $3725
Inglewood $3826
Delacour $2495
Sirocco $3300
D'Arcy Ranch $2580 (includes a bunch of cart rentals, it's $2100 if you're willing to walk it)
Redwood Meadows $2386
Wintergreen $2939
Elbow Springs $3950
Bearspaw $5950 (trial membership)
Cottonwood $4888 (trial membership)
