The Flames look to get back on track after dropping consecutive games to the Leafs.
I believe this will be Montreals home opener, and we get to see our beautiful away jerseys once again.
First time posting a GDT so lets start a streak.
Go Flames Go

Would be nice if they scored the first goal. It's been over a week since they have had a lead in a game. The Flames are 2nd last in the standings and games at hand only matter if you win them.

It is going to be cool to see the old (new?) away sets against the Canadiens.
As much of a challenge as the Leafs were this team plays a faster, tougher game. Not going to be easy.
Jealous of the Habs. They made the deals I thought (or was hoping) Treliving was going to make. Anderson & Toffoli. Looking forward to tonight.

Hope the Flames get the right start time today. So embarrassing for the whole team to show up late like that, and the ice crew and security to have to fill in like that for a period.

The Habs are going to make this a tough game. Can’t have any passengers.

Hopefully we don’t take a random period off this game. I’m really curious to see how we stack up against Montreal. Looking forward to a good hard game.

Ok hasn’t been working the other way so here goes:
I’ll donate $20 to CP if Bennett scores 0 points.

I honestly expect a loss. This is not meant as a trolling post. The team is still shaking off rust and hasnt gelled yet to fire on all cylinders. The monkey in the room might be that Gio is slowing down and our offense needs swagger.

Not trolling as I don't have a good feeling about these next two games either. Getting swept over the two games wouldn't surprise me in the least as the Habs have had the Flames number of late and the Flames are having issues putting together complete efforts.

What you wrote above is a fact.
Here’s another one. They’ve only played two games in that same time frame.
Context matters.

A rerun, but it fits:
Go Flames.

That's fair. But the Flames through five games have scored the first goal in only two of those, and they have not scored a first period goal since Game #2.

The Habs are hot, the Flames are cold.
So, the inconsistent Flames will probably win!

Montreal is a good team but we have some horses in our corner as well. Too many passengers and not enough difference makers against Toronto — sometimes a wake up call like the first period on Tuesday is what you need. Adversity isn’t a bad thing.

I'm just hoping for 2 shots on goal in the first period. Is that too much to ask for?

Most likely Monday or Tuesday against the Jets.
